All employees have a five (5) percent increase after ten (10) years of service. Union empoyees typically enter a position at Step 1, promote to Step 2 after six (6) months, and advance to Step 3 after ten (10) years. Each step represents a 5% increase.

We have three (3) steps - Low - Mid - High. Each pay range is 11% from low to high.

Longevity pay may be on the schedule below or as set by the Commission : 5 - 9 years of consecutive full-time employment = $500.0010 - 14 years = $1,000.00; 15 - 19 years = $1,500.00; 20 - 24 years = $2,000.00; 25 - 29 years = $2,500.00; 30 or more years = 3,000.00

5 - 10 years of service = 10 hours of pay; 10 - 15 years of service = 20 hours of pay; 15 - 20 years of service = 40 hours of pay; After 20 years of service = 80 hours of pay

Employee contributes 10% of salary to defined contribution pension plan. City matches employee's contribution. 6 year vesting with normal retirement age achieved at 60 years of age or 30 years of service.

Service Awards grant $40.00 at 5 years of service and increases by $40.00 every 5 years up to 40 years.

If so, how is it structured?

Stand-by time is paid at (1) hour on week days and two (2) hours on weekends and holidays at time and one half (1�) the regular rate of pay.

$150 per week and mileage. If they are called in it is guaratined 2 hours of overtime pay.

Employees rotate "on call" list. Each call out pays 1 hour minimum.

They get paid 1.5 their rate of pay for any on-call assignments in addition to 1.2 hrs Standby Pay (straight time) for each 24 hour period they are on standby.

Bargaining Unit employees who are on call receive 2 hours overtime per day of on-call standby.

Standby rate is $10.00 per day

Standby pay at straight time base rate as follows: 3 hours per day Mon-Fri, 4.5 hours per day Sat and Sun, 5 hours on UC designated Holiday.

On call is $200 for a 7 day period.

Union employees get time and 1/2 per hour and a minimum of three (3) hours per call out.

The rate used per hour to calculate standby pay while officially on standby duty will be .0693 of the employee's normal hourly rate. For example: an employee who is officially on standby duty for 12 hours at a $20 hourly rate is called in for 2 hours. The employee's standby pay for that day is .0693 x 10 (12 hours normal standby hours less 2 hours actually worked) x $20, or $13.86.

On call employees shall be credited with one-half hour, at the straight time rate, for each 8-hour period during which they are required to remain in an on call status beyond their normal work schedules. The minimum call back compensation shall be two hours at the overtime rate, beginning at the time the call is received by the employee.

Guarnteed minimum hours/compensation if called.

We offer 2 different HMO's and 2 different PPO's. % based on lower plan of each.

Medical insurance PPO. $6,000 deductible Max $12,000 family deductible. City contributes to an HSA for all insured employees. Family insured employees recieve a greater contribution to their HSA account semi-annually than individual insured employees. Insured employees required to be employed full-time.

Self-insured four-tier option with premium based on option selected: EE Only = 4%, EE & Spouse = 15%, EE & Children = 13.5%, Family = 19%

PPO employees have to contribute. HMO is free for employees. Employees based a percentage of their dependents based upon plan.

For dependants: 0-5 years er pays 50%, 6-15 years er pays 65%, 16-25 years er pays 80%, 25+ years er pays 100%

26.74% for EE+family (the 31.6% is for EE+1)

Medical Plans are note a %, they are $10 per week for an individual employee or $50 per week for the employee plus dependents.

We have 4 tiers = EE, E+Sp, E+CH & E+Fam - I used the EE+Sp Tier for % FAMILY = 51.97%

City proivdes $1,968/yr in "Flexbucks" above base pay to assist employees with insurance payments
