General Manager Visits Leesburg
Nick Guarriello visited Leesburg last Monday to speak at a City Commission meeting. He updated the Commissioners on the state of the Agency, including rates, the Levy County nuclear project and FMPA’s strategic plan.
Request for Proposals
FMPA received 10 bids last Monday in response to its request for proposals (RFP) for human resources consulting services. Bids were evaluated last week, and the contract award is scheduled by Oct. 6. The request was issued to select a firm to evaluate FMPA’s compensation plan, benefits plan and employee handbook. This is an action item from the Strategic Plan. Public Power Week
Mark your calendars: American Public Power Association’s Public Power Week is Oct. 4 through Oct. 10. This year will mark Public Power Week’s 23rd anniversary as a nationwide program to celebrate the importance of public power to local citizens and other key stakeholders. Lineman’s Roundtable
FMPA’s semi-annual Lineman’s Roundtable is scheduled for Oct. 14 in Mount Dora at 10 a.m. Roundtable participants will exchange ideas on operating practices, safety training, tools and equipment.
