Bud Boudreaux visited Lakeland last Thursday. He visits Leesburg and Mount Dora with Fred Bryant July 14 and Alachua on July 30.

The latest issue of HedgeSite was posted on the Member Portal last week. This newsletter contains updates on FMPA’s natural gas hedges, storage and physical gas supply, as well as industry updates, information on investor owned utilities’ fuel costs and FMPA’s historical load trends.

ARP Rate Workshop
The ARP Executive Committee meets Thursday via conference call at 2 p.m. for the monthly All-Requirements Project rate workshop. The workshop agenda includes: 1) an update on natural gas markets and liquidity, 2) an update on pool operations, 3) an overview of June loads, costs and rate calculations, and 4) estimated rates for August through September. Crystal River Unit 3
Preparations continue for concrete placement at the Crystal River Unit 3 nuclear plant. The grout process related to rebar placement has taken longer than anticipated, so concrete placement will begin this week. The executive summary for the root cause analysis is in the final stages of completion. A link to the document will be provided when the final version is posted on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s website. Contact: David Schumann

ARP Quarterly Conservation Fund Reminder
All-Requirements Project (ARP) members are reminded to retu their quarterly reports to document ARP Conservation Program efforts from April 1 through June 30. Reports are due July 15. Contact: Sharon Smeenk
Travel Expense Reimbursement Policy for EC Members
The ARP Executive Committee (EC) recently approved a new travel expense reimbursement policy that will be effective Oct. 1, 2010. FMPA’s Public Relations Department plans to develop an information packet that explains the new reimbursement policy and ensures that EC members know how to apply for reimbursement. Project Management Workshop
FMPA hosts a two-day workshop about the Fundamentals of Effective Project Management on Oct. 13 and 14 in the Orlando office. The course provides participants with a practical approach to managing the resources, people, deadlines and real-world challenges required to complete projects on time, on target and on budget. The course costs $450 per person and is presented by Glen Whipple.
