Distribution Reliability Measurement Program
Newberry recently joined FMPA’s Distribution Reliability Measurement Program becoming the 24th participant. The program collects reliability data monthly from municipal utilities. Participating utilities submit data and receive a monthly report that enables them to compare their performance with other utilities. Contact: Sharon Smeenk
Audit and Risk Oversight Committee
FMPA’s Audit and Risk Oversight Committee met last Tuesday via conference call with Purvis, Gray & Company, FMPA’s exteal auditors. The auditors discussed the results of the interim audit of the Agency’s financial information, as well as financials for FMPA’s power supply projects. Contact: Mark Larson or Rich Popp
St. Lucie and Stanton II Projects’ Credit Ratings Affirmed
The credit ratings for two of FMPA’s power supply projects were affirmed last Friday by Moody’s Investors Service and Fitch Ratings. Moody’s assigned an A2 rating to the St. Lucie Project and an A1 rating to the Stanton II Project. Fitch issued an A rating for the St. Lucie and an A+ rating for Stanton II. Both rating agencies indicate the rating outlook is stable. These ratings reflect the credit quality of the project participants, as well as the sound legal security and the underlying economics and performance records of the projects. FMPA is working on potential bond issues for both projects. Contact: Mark Larson
FMPA-ECG Alliance
Mark McCain, Sharon Smeenk and Sharon Samuels met last Friday with Electric Cities of Georgia’s (ECG) Manager of Education & Development Suzanne Powell to discuss programs offered through FMPA’s alliance with ECG. FMPA is forming an FMPA-ECG Alliance Advisory Committee that will meet on Oct. 9 at FMPA. All FMPA members are encouraged to participate to help ensure that the ECG Alliance continues to meet the needs of FMPA’s members.
