3 Phase Times

FMPA’s Power Resources Division recently published the December 2012 edition of 3 Phase Times. This monthly report provides information about the All-Requirements Project’s (ARP) system peak, hourly loads, resource fuel mix, natural gas usage, natural gas pricing and more performance information. The report shows that FMPA purchased 6,305 MWh from the Florida Municipal Power Pool (FMPP) in December and sold 45,332 MWh, resulting in net sales of 39,027 MWh. The short-term forecast estimated 7,496 MWh of net purchases from FMPP. The increase in net sales was due to firm capacity and energy purchases during the planned outages of Treasure Coast Energy Center Unit 1 and Cane Island Unit 4. For more information, download 3 Phase Times from the Member Portal. Contact: Tom Reedy
