Policy Makers Liaisons Committee
FMPA is scheduling a special Policy Makers Liaisons Committee meeting to vote on the action items to elect officers and approve the meeting schedule for 2020-2021. Sue Utley sent an email to members last week with a link to the Doodle Poll. FMPA will send an invite to members when the new date is selected.

Interim Audit
FMPA and independent auditors, Purvis, Gray and Company meet for an exit conference on Monday to discuss FMPA’s accounting procedures and to review preliminary findings of the interim audit. The auditors will discuss the interim audit results at the Finance Committee meeting on Aug. 19 as part of the year-end audit. Contact: Danyel Sullivan Marrero

Utility Tree Trimming and Vegetation Management RFP
FMPA is preparing to issue a request for proposal (RFP) for Utility Tree Trimming and Vegetation Management. The RFP will include the FEMA-ready process. Monday is the last day for members to submit their responses. Contact: Sharon Samuels

ARP Telephonic Rate Workshop
The ARP Executive Committee meets Tuesday at 2 p.m. via conference call to review July’s ARP rate calculation. The full agenda package will be available on the Portal on Monday. Contact: Jason Wolfe

Member Support
Mark McCain and Mike McCleary travel to Chattahoochee on Tuesday to assist the city with its five-year capital improvement plan and associated costs. Mark and Mike travel to Quincy on Wednesday to discuss FMPA’s assistance after a storm.

Distribution Reliability Roundtable
FMPA hosts a Distribution Reliability Roundtable on Thursday at 9 a.m. in FMPA’s Orlando office. The roundtable is an opportunity to discuss distribution reliability related topics including FMPA’s reliability reporting process, program definitions and interpretations. Registration is free and lunch will be provided. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and a teleconference option is available for those who prefer to dial in. Contact: Cairo Vanegas

Rotary Club of Orlando Presentation
Jacob Williams presents at the Rotary Club of Orlando on Thursday at 11:45 a.m. via Zoom. Jacob will discuss how FMPA provides low-cost, reliable and clean power as well as the benefits of the Florida Municipal Solar Project. A recording of the presentation will be available after the webinar.

Smart Meters and Grid Modernization Webinar
Quanta Technology hosts a Smart Meters and Grid Modernization webinar on Aug. 20. The webinar will discuss current AMI technologies, AMI’s role in grid modernization, approaches to customer engagement and best practices for implementation. FMPA and Quanta Technologies are currently working together on two AMI projects for members. Interested members can register on Quanta Technology’s website.
