Leesburg Powering Our Community TV Show
Powering Our Community TV show featuring Leesburg City Manager Al Minner and FMPA’s Jacob Williams aired last week and can be accessed on Lakefront TV’s YouTube channel. The show discusses the benefits the city’s electric utility provides to its customers and value of FMPA and cities working together.

All Requirements Project Load Forecast Review
FMPA is working on the 2021 All-Requirements Project (ARP) load forecast, which predicts peak and energy loads for ARP member cities. FMPA conducts the load forecasts every year to ensure members have enough future low-cost resources and to support FMPA’s annual budget process. The drafts have been sent to the ARP participants and the final forecast is expected to be completed by late December. FMPA welcomes member feedback on the draft forecast analysis. ARP participants interested in discussing the forecast results and potential near term COVID-19 impacts can contact Ann Beckwith by Dec. 4.

APPA Annual Awards
Applications are open for the American Public Power Association’s (APPA) annual awards recognizing excellence in utility leadership and outstanding business, operations, and service by public power utilities. Interested members can visit APPA’s website for more information on the awards. Applications are due Jan. 31, 2021.
