New Power Sales
FMPA starts new power sales to Williston and Bartow on Friday. The Williston City Council approved a full requirements power purchase agreement (PPA) with FMPA in September. Under the agreement, the All-Requirements Project (ARP) will supply approximately 8 MW of capacity and energy to serve Williston for up to seven years. This is the first time Williston will be purchasing power from FMPA. FMPA will also begin supplying all of Bartow’s power requirements through 2023. Previously, Bartow received its power from both Orlando Utilities Commission and FMPA. Starting Friday, Bartow will receive approximately 65 MW through FMPA’s All-Requirements Project.
