ARP Telephonic Rate Workshop
The ARP Executive Committee held a rate workshop last Thursday to review the February All-Requirements Project loads, costs and rates.  Participant costs for February benefitted from loads that were 2.2% above budget and monthly gas costs that were 39% below budget. Much of the ARP’s natural gas supply for February was locked up prior to the runup in spot natural gas prices during the month. This afforded the ARP the opportunity to run some units on oil and resell a portion of its natural gas supply. Additionally, some third-party energy sales were transacted that also benefited from higher gas index pricing. The February average billed demand and energy cost to participants was $65.92 per MWh, which was among the lowest billed February demand and energy costs since at least 2005.  The full agenda package is available on the Portal.
