APPA Legislative Rally
The American Public Power Association (APPA) has scheduled its annual Legislative Rally for Feb. 28-March 2, 2022, at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. APPA plans to hold the typical Rally meetings and events at the Mayflower, and FMPA will work with APPA on details for in-person meetings with Congress members. These details may not be finalized until early 2022, due to coordination with House and Senate staff and pending whether the Capitol complex is open to visitors. Currently, the complex is closed to guests. FMPA has budgeted funds to pay the travel expenses for 14 members to attend the Rally. Ryan Dumas sent an email Monday to FMPA’s members with information about the Rally, and the first 14 people to respond to Ryan will be eligible for travel reimbursement. FMPA and FMEA will secure a sub-block of rooms at the Mayflower for Florida participants. If after final Rally details are announced you decide to not attend, we will cancel your reservation.
