TECO Power Purchase Agreement
FMPA finalized a power purchase agreement with Tampa Electric Co. (TECO) last week to sell capacity and energy in January and February 2022. Beginning Jan. 1, TECO will purchase 50 MW of capacity to supplement its winter seasonal needs. This agreement is an opportunity for FMPA to optimize its generation resources as part of the Agency’s strategic plan to keep rates affordable for members. Contact: Chris Gowder

Foreman Academy Certification Series
The final track of the Foreman Academy certification series is Monday through Friday at FMPA’s Orlando office. The Foreman Academy Certification provides crew leaders and general foremen with the knowledge and tools to lead crews efficiently, responsibly and safely. FMEA Board Meeting
The Florida Municipal Electric Association’s Board of Directors will meet on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office. A virtual option will be available for those not able to attend in person.

Finance Committee
FMPA’s Finance Committee meets on Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Board room. The committee will consider two action items, including the approval of Appendix N in the Information Technology Policy and Appendix O in the Human Resource Risk Policy. The Committee will also hear five information items. A teleconference option will be available for those not able to attend in person. The full agenda package is available on the Portal. FMPA Board and EC Holiday Dinner
FMPA hosts a holiday dinner for the Board of Directors and Executive Committee on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office. Members arriving on Wednesday for FMPA’s governing board meetings on Thursday are encouraged to attend. Contact: Sue Utley

Board of Directors
FMPA’s Board of Directors meets on Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Board room. The Board will consider two action items, including the approval of the St. Lucie audit report and approval of insurance broker services. The Board will also hear seven information items. ARP Executive Committee
The Executive Committee meets on Thursday at 9:15 a.m., or immediately following the Board of Directors meeting. The committee will consider two action items including approval of the Transco Pipeline Capacity Sale and approval of insurance broker services. The committee will also hear six information items. APPA Annual Awards
Applications for the American Public Power Association’s (APPA) annual individual and utility awards are open. The awards recognize excellence in utility leadership and outstanding business, operations and service by public power utilities. Interested members can visit APPA’s website for more information. Applications are due Jan. 31, 2022.
