Certified Power Executive Training
The deadline to register for FMPA’s Certified Power Executive training series is on Wednesday. The topics discussed in the five-part training include: 1) leadership styles, 2) meeting management, 3) business and strategic issues, 4) conflict mediation, and 5) dynamics of change. The first session is scheduled for Feb. 23 at 8:30 a.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office. The series runs through December and is designed to provide managers a better understanding of their duties and role in the utility industry. Contact: Sharon Samuels

Utility Salary Survey
FMPA’s annual utility salary survey was emailed to members last week. The results will provide members with Florida-specific salary and benefit information for positions in public power. The deadline to complete the survey is March 4. Contact: Sharon Adams

Finance Committee
FMPA’s Finance Committee meets on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office. The Committee will consider the approval of the Power Supply and Resource Planning Policy and hear three information items. The full agenda package is available on the Portal. Contact: Linda Howard

Board of Directors
FMPA’s Board of Directors meets Thursday at 9 a.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office. The Board will consider two action items, including approval of a budget amendment for the Pooled Loan Project and approval of a direct placement note for Stanton II. ARP Executive Committee
The ARP Executive Committee meets Thursday at 9:15 a.m., or immediately following the Board of Directors meeting. The Committee will hear five information items, including: 1) annual debt report for fiscal 2021, 2) update on the discharge at Stock Island, 3) update on capacity acquisition, 4) natural gas market changes and potential for proactive management, and 5) summary of Financial Committee items. APPA Legislative Rally
Participants planning to attend the APPA Legislative Rally on February 28–March 2 are encouraged to attend a webinar this Friday to discuss the Rally schedule, federal legislative issues, and COVID requirements for Washington, D.C. Ryan Dumas forwarded a calendar invite from Nicole Albers of FMEA to Rally participants last Tuesday.
