Michael Shellenberger Presentation During April PMLC Meeting
Leading climate and environmental activist Michael Shellenberger will discuss the intersection of climate, energy and politics during the Policy Makers Liaisons Committee meeting on April 20 at 1 p.m. Shellenberger has advised policymakers around the globe and is the best-selling author of “Apocalypse Never.” FMPA’s Board of Directors, Executive Committee and member utility staff are encouraged to join the virtual presentation. Welcome, New FMPA Team Members
Please welcome Whitney Grant, Lindsay Jack and Ernst Dormevil, who join FMPA on Monday. Whitney is the Human Resources Generalist II and has more than seven years of experience in HR. Lindsay is the new Administrative Specialist and has more than nine years of administrative experience, including time at Mehta & Associates, Inc. as the Lead Administrative Assistant. Ernst is FMPA’s new Electrical Intern and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, with an emphasis in power and renewable energy, from the University of Central Florida.

Cane Island Plant Staff Appreciation Lunch
Jacob Williams, Ken Rutter and members of FMPA’s power generation team are attending an appreciation lunch for plant staff at Cane Island Power Park on Monday. The event is to celebrate the plant’s commitment to safe and reliable operations, which enables FMPA to keep power costs affordable for members.

Meter Tech Roundtable
FMPA holds a Meter Tech Roundtable on Thursday at 10 a.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office. The roundtable provides an opportunity for meter technicians to discuss operating practices, equipment, tools, safety, training and more. Contact: Sharon Samuels

Purchasing Roundtable
Members interested in attending FMPA’s Purchasing Roundtable are reminded to register by May 2. The roundtable is scheduled for May 12 at 10 a.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office and provides a forum for members to discuss purchasing work procedures, policies and practices, industry changes, and more.
