ARP Rate Workshop
The All-Requirements Project held a workshop last Wednesday to review loads, costs and rates for April. Energy sales to participants were 2% above budget, bringing the year-to-date total to 0.5% below budget. The average cost of natural gas was 111% above budget, due to rising fuel prices. The average billed demand and energy cost was $99.56 per megawatt hour. With gas prices in the $7-$9 per MMBtu range, rates in the coming months could be above $100 per megawatt hour. MSAC Meeting
FMPA’s Member Services Advisory Committee met last Wednesday and approved two action items, including: 1) committee charter, which will be presented to the Board of Directors as an information item in June, and 2) exploring an IT support subscription service for members. Finance Committee
FMPA’s Finance Committee meets Wednesday at 2 p.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office. The committee will consider the approval of four action items, including: 1) new employee benefits, 2) fiscal 2023 Agency budget for recommendation to the Executive Committee, 3) fuel portfolio management policy, and 4) increase in spending authority for the fiscal 2022 budgets for the Stanton and Tri-City projects. Board of Directors
FMPA’s Board of Directors meets Thursday at 9 a.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office. The Board will consider the approval of four action items, including: 1) use of development funds to explore acquiring additional capacity, 2) increase in spending authority for the fiscal 2022 Stanton Project budget, 3) increase in spending authority for the fiscal 2022 Tri-City Project budget, and 4) appointment of a Nominating Committee. Executive Committee
The ARP Executive Committee meets Thursday at 9:15 a.m., or immediately following the Board of Directors meeting. The committee will consider the approval of a 10-year extension of a firm transportation service contract with Florida Gas Transmission and hear four information items. Florida Public Power Breakfast at APPA National Conference
FMPA will host a breakfast on June 14 during the APPA National Conference for attendees from Florida public power utilities. A calendar invite with details will be emailed this week. Contact Ryan Dumas if you plan to attend the conference.

Bids for Substation Painting and Meter Testing Services
FMPA is preparing two bids on behalf of its members. The substation paining services bid includes the application of protective coatings on exterior surfaces of power transformers, breakers and regulators. The meter testing services bid includes the inspection, testing and reporting requirements for in-service revenue meters and other associated instruments. Participation is open to all members. Interested members should contact Sharon Samuels by Friday.
