Finance Committee
FMPA’s Finance Committee met last Wednesday and approved four action items, including: 1) new employee benefits, 2) fiscal 2023 Agency budget for recommendation to the Executive Committee, 3) fuel portfolio management policy, and 4) increase in spending authority for the fiscal 2022 budgets for the Stanton and Tri-City projects. Board of Directors
FMPA’s Board of Directors met last Thursday and approved four action items, including: 1) use of development funds to explore acquiring additional capacity, 2) increase in spending authority for the fiscal 2022 Stanton Project budget, 3) increase in spending authority for the fiscal 2022 Tri-City Project budget, and 4) appointments to the Nominating Committee. Executive Committee
The ARP Executive Committee met last Thursday and approved a 10-year extension of a firm transportation service contract with Florida Gas Transmission. The committee also heard four information items. The full agenda package is available on the Portal. Contact: Jacob Williams

Nominating Committee
FMPA’s Nominating Committee meets Monday at 1 p.m. via Teams to discuss recommendations for the 2022-2023 Board of Directors officers. The committee is comprised of three directors representing member utilities based on electric sales: Howard McKinnon from the Town of Havana representing small utilities, Lynne Mila from the City of Clewiston representing medium-sized utilities and Doug Peebles from Ocala Electric Utility representing large utilities. The slate of officers for the upcoming year will be presented and voted on at the July Board meeting.

Hurricane Season Preparations
FMPA staff are participating in a drill on Tuesday to prepare for the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season. The team will conduct a tabletop exercise to review assigned roles and strengthen response and communication plans. The team will also discuss restoration services that FMPA provides members.
