Annual Financial Audit
Auditors from Purvis Gray will be in the Orlando office this week to continue its review of FMPA’s financial statements for fiscal 2022. The team plans to complete its fieldwork on Wednesday. Women in Energy Leadership Forum
Several team members are attending the Women in Energy Leadership Forum on Wednesday and Thursday in Orlando. On Wednesday, Linda Howard will participate in a panel discussion on the greening of America and analyst expectations. On Thursday, LaKenya VanNorman will join other emerging leaders to discuss careers and professional growth in the energy industry.
Veteran’s Day
Veteran’s Day is on Friday, and we are proud to have nine military veterans employed at FMPA. Join us in recognizing and thanking Juan Bailey (Army), Peter Bunora (Navy), Karen Culpepper (Navy), Angel Diaz (Army), Victor Gaines (Marines), Tim Jackson (Navy), Konrad Lisiewicz (Air Force), Bob Nelcoski (Navy) and Jamie Noon (Air Force) for their service to our country. FMPA will share some of their stories this week on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Finance Committee
FMPA’s Finance Committee meeting scheduled for Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. has been canceled. The next committee meeting will be on Dec. 7. Contact: Linda Howard
Purchasing Roundtable
Registration is now open for the Purchasing Roundtable on Dec. 1 at FMPA’s Orlando office. The roundtable provides a forum for purchasing personnel to meet with peers from other member utilities to discuss work procedures, policies and practices, industry changes, and other topics of interest. The registration deadline is Nov. 23.
Substation Training Series
FMPA’s Substation Training Series will be held on Feb. 7-8 at Orlando Utilities Commission. The training series is designed to provide in-depth instruction on substation-related topics and is tailored to the specific equipment of the attendee’s utility, where possible. The deadline to register is Jan. 9.
