Linda Howard Named to List of Women Who Mean Business
Linda Howard was named by the Orlando Business Journal as one of Central Florida’s Women Who Mean Business for 2023. The award recognizes female leaders, who demonstrate exemplary business achievements and community involvement. Linda is one of 21 executives that will be recognized in February. Join us in congratulating Linda on this honor and for her commitment to FMPA, its members and the Central Florida community.
Florida Women in Energy Leadership Forum
Several team members are attending the Women in Energy Leadership Forum on Wednesday through Friday in Tampa. On Wednesday, Linda Howard will participate in a panel discussion on the greening of America and analyst expectations. On Thursday, LaKenya VanNorman will join other emerging leaders to discuss careers and professional growth in the energy industry. The forum was originally scheduled for last November; however, it was rescheduled due to Hurricane Nicole.
January PMLC Meeting Guest Speaker
Members are reminded to RSVP for a presentation by Robert Bryce on Jan. 18 during the Policy Makers Liaisons Committee meeting. Robert is an author, journalist, film producer and podcaster covering energy, power, innovation and politics. He will present on renewables, hydrocarbons and the future of the electric grid. FMPA’s Board of Directors, Executive Committee and member utility staff are encouraged to participate. A calendar invite with additional information and a link to RSVP was emailed on Dec. 7. Quincy Regional Crew Leader Roundtable
FMPA will host the first of five Crew Leader Roundtables on Jan. 17-18 in Quincy. The roundtable provides an opportunity for foremen and crew leaders to discuss common issues and best practices. Registration is available on FMPA’s website. Additional roundtables will be hosted in Bartow, Homestead, Mount Dora and Williston. These events are posted on the events calendar on FMPA.com.
