FMPA Wins Local Public Relations Award

FMPA won an Award of Distinction last Tuesday at the Florida Public Relations Association Orlando Area Chapter Image Awards. In the integrated marketing category, FMPA was recognized for supporting members with rising costs communications. An Award of Distinction is presented to entries that meet the standards of excellence set by a panel of judges.

Behind the Switch Campaign

FMPA is launching its annual “Behind the Switch” social media campaign on Monday. The campaign will continue throughout the coming weeks and show how FMPA and its members provide affordable, reliable and clean power. This year’s campaign will highlight electric vehicles and charging stations, transmission planning, power plant maintenance and hurricane preparations. The videos will be posted weekly on FMPA’s Facebook  and LinkedIn  pages.

Purchasing Roundtable

Members and utility staff who procure supplies and equipment or work in other areas of purchasing are reminded to register  for the Purchasing Roundtable that is scheduled on May 10 at 10 a.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office. The event provides an opportunity for purchasing personnel to meet with peers from other member utilities to discuss work procedures, policies and practices, industry changes and other topics of interest.
