Thermal Infrared and Imaging Services Bid
FMPA is preparing to issue a new thermal infrared and imaging services bid. The scope includes infrared surveying, Corona camera images, and drone inspections. The bid will comply with the FEMA requirements. Responses are due next Thursday. Contact: Sharon Samuels

Ten-Year Site Plan
FMPA recently filed the All-Requirements Project’s (ARP) Ten-Year Site Plan with the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC). The plan describes the ARP’s estimated power generating needs for the next 10 years and the resource mix to be utilized to meet requirements with sufficient planning reserves. APPPA Public Power Lineworkers Rodeo
The American Public Power Association (APPA) held its annual Public Power Lineworkers Rodeo over the weekend in Lafayette, Louisiana. Fifty-seven utilities from across the county competed, and representatives from Florida public power won both overall top prizes. In the Apprentice – Overall category, Ryan Kornegay (JEA) placed first, Dustin Zorn (Lakeland Electric) placed second, and Dalton Gowdy and Thomas Steverson (Tallahassee), placed third and fourth, respectively. In the Journeyman – Overall category, David Hicken, Caleb Macabitas, and Cody Stokes (JEA) placed first, Rico Bobbins, Blake Burns, and Michael Patterson (Tallahassee) placed second, and Evan Englert, Austin Houk, and Nelson Rodriguez (OUC) placed fifth. MSAC Meeting
The Member Services Advisory Committee (MSAC) met last Tuesday. The Committee approved the Member Services budget, and it heard multiple information items. Items included a verbal update on the leased employee program, a verbal review of the lineworker safety program, an update about reliability data and the SharePoint site, and an update on training and roundtable options. Fundamental Supervisory Skills Training
FMPA will host a fundamental supervisory skills training tomorrow and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This Tennessee Valley Public Power Association (TVPPA) training is part of the series of courses required to complete the Certified Power Supervisor (CPSv) certification, and the course discusses how to manage and communicate with people. Goal Setting and Planning Training
FMPA will host a goal setting and planning training Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This TVPPA training is part of the series of courses required to complete the CPSv certification, and the course material discusses the importance of setting goals and how to manage challenges.
