Calvin Henze
FMPA is saddened to share the news of the Agency’s founding General Manager Calvin Henze’s passing last Tuesday. Mr. Henze served as general manager from 1978 until 1991, and highlights from his tenure include the Agency’s first power supply project with St. Lucie Unit 2 in 1982 and the establishment of the ARP in 1986. His dedication to public power also included serving as APPA president, chair of the APPA accounting and finance section, and receiving the Alex Radin Distinguished Service Award. Funeral services will be in New Braunfels, Texas, next week, with the viewing Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home and the funeral service Monday at 10 a.m. at First Protestant Church. Following the funeral service, he will be buried at Lone Oak Cemetery in Geronimo, Texas, just around the corner from his childhood home. FMPA sends its condolences to Mr. Henze’s loved ones.

MSAC Meeting
The Member Services Advisory Committee (MSAC) met last Thursday. The Committee elected Allen Putnam (Jacksonville Beach) as its new Chair and Billy Branch (Homestead) as its new Vice Chair. The agenda package is available via the Portal. Contact: Sharon Adams
Regional Foreman Roundtable – Quincy
FMPA is hosting a regional foreman roundtable tomorrow in Quincy at 10 a.m at city hall. The roundtables allow foremen and crew leaders to meet with other member utilities to discuss common issues and best practices. Contact: Lindsay Jack

FMPA is hosting a SCADA roundtable Wednesday at 10 a.m. at its Orlando office. The roundtable provides an opportunity for SCADA-EMS personnel to come together to share what types of equipment, EMS and software they use for their distribution and transmission networks. Contact: Lindsay Jack
GIS Roundtable
FMPA is hosting a GIS roundtable Thursday at 10 a.m. at its Orlando office. The roundtable provides an informal forum for GIS staff from member utilities to exchange information, share best practices, and network with their peers from member utilities across the state. Contact: Lindsay Jack

Member Satisfaction Survey
Great Blue Research emailed a link to FMPA’s Member Satisfaction Survey at the end of June. The survey provides the Agency with insight about what services benefit Members most.
