FPL Transmission Rate Case Filing
FPL filed a rate case settlement the afternoon of January 24. Once FERC approves the settlement, rates will go into effect for all utilities that receive point-to-point or network services from FPL, and issues will be refunded for 2024 and the first months of 2025. In 2024, the as-filed rate was $3.66/kW-month and the settlement rate is $3.19/kW-month, in 2025, the as-filed rate was $3.66/kW-month and the settlement rate is $3.50/kW-month, and, for 2026, the as-filed rate was $3.66/kW-month and the settlement rate is $3.95/kW-month. The 2026 settlement rate is subject to true-up in accordance with Section 2.1 and Exhibit 1 of the Settlement Agreement. Contact: Jody Finklea
Electric Utility 101 Training
Member Services is introducing an Electric Utility 101 training program. Team members from FMPA will visit your utility to lead a customized course explaining the fundamentals of the industry in an interactive training environment. RP3 Designation
American Public Power Association will open the RP3 Designation application process soon. APPA awards the designation to utilities with demonstrated high proficiencies in reliability, safety, workforce development, and system improvement. Now is the time to prepare for the application process, and the Member Services team is available to support with the process.
