Florida Lineman Competition
Lineworkers from Florida’s public power utilities and electric cooperatives competed in the annual Florida Lineman Competition on Saturday in Ocala. FMEA and Ocala Electric Utility cohosted the event, and FMPA was a sponsor of the event and provided the top prize to help pay for the winners to attend a national competition. Participants included 79 journeymen on 24 journeyman teams, 77 apprentices and 64 judges from 18 utilities. Congratulations to David Hicken, Caleb Macabitas, and Jonathan Cody Stokes from JEA, who won the Overall Journeyman Team Winners Cup. Ryan Kornegay from JEA won the Overall Apprentice Award.

Environmental Air Compliance Training
Registration closes Thursday for the environmental air compliance training scheduled for next Wednesday. This free training focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complex regulatory landscape. Contact: Lindsay Jack
