APPA Public Power Lineworkers Rodeo
The American Public Power Association (APPA) held its annual Public Power Lineworkers Rodeo over the weekend in Roseville, California. Fifty-two utilities from across the country competed, and representatives from Florida public power won both overall top prizes. In the Apprentice – Overall category, Ryan Kornegay (JEA) placed first, Robert Rivera (KUA) placed second, and Garrett Accomando (OUC) and Dustin Zorn (Lakeland Electric), placed third and fifth, respectively. In the Journeyman – Overall category, Cody Stokes, Caleb Macabitas & David Hicken (JEA) placed second. Florida municipals held many of the top prizes in the competition. See more winners and to learn more about the individual awards here. Congratulations to our FL Public Power competitors!
