APPA RP3 Designation
Congratulations to Bartow Electric Utility, City of Leesburg Electric, and Gainesville Regional Utilities for receiving APPA’s Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) designation last week. These utilities join seven other Florida utilities, bumping the total to 10 municipal utilities in the state that have earned this designation recognizing demonstrated high proficiency in reliability, safety, workforce development, and system improvement. Applications to pursue this designation next year open on May 1. For assistance with the application process, contact Member Services.
2024 Annual Report
FMPA’s governing boards and member committees, local elected officials, industry partners, and other interested parties received copies of FMPA’s 2024 annual report last week. The report, titled “Mission Possible,” recaps how the recent fiscal year proves it’s possible to provide electricity that is both low cost and reliable, and it includes insights from Board members and utility leaders from Keys Energy Services and Lake Worth Beach. SERC Physical Security

Negotiations and Contracts Training
