Regional Safety Leadership Training Sessions
FMPA recently hosted regional trainings in Tallahassee and Gainesville to discuss developing an effective safety culture and the role of leaders in the process. A combined total of 46 representatives from 12 Member cities attended the training sessions. Participants also provided feedback on the session, noting the facilitator was informative, knowledgeable, and engaging, and the content in the training sessions was relevant and highlighted current best practices and areas to improve. SERC Webinar
SERC is hosting a Grid Reliability for States Webinar on Gas-Electric Coordination tomorrow from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. This webinar seeks to provide objective and concise information regarding Gas-Electric Coordination explanations, prioritization importance for states, and SERC’s regional perspective of Gas-Electric Coordination. The targeted audience for this webinar includes state lawmakers, commissioners and staff, policy makers engaged in state energy regulation, and utility regulatory and government affairs personnel. Training Registration Deadlines
The deadline to register for multiple upcoming training opportunities is Thursday. This includes the Communicating Effectively with Utility Customers Training next Monday and Tuesday at FMPA, the Combined AMI and Meter Tech Roundtable next Wednesday at JEA, and the Work Order, Inventory, and Plant Training next Thursday at FMPA. APPA Utility Salary Survey
APPA is conducting its annual Utility Salary Survey and is seeking responses by July 17. Public power utilities who are at least 50 percent retail sales, with some exceptions, are eligible to participate in this survey. The survey focuses on annual base pay information for 34 salaried positions and 26 hourly positions. Each participating Member utility will receive a complimentary copy of the full final report, which includes a breakdown of salaries by revenue and customer class and regional salary summaries.
