TCHS Field Trip
FMPA hosted a field trip from students from Trinity Catholic High School last week. Students from the Ocala-based school’s advanced engineering classes visited a solar facility in Mount Dora and Sand Lake Energy Center. During lunch, members of the FMPA team participated in a panel about municipal power, careers in energy, and the industry of the field. Two representatives from Ocala Electric Utility also joined the group for the day.
Mount Dora City Council Meeting
Jacob Williams attended the Mount Dora City Council meeting last Tuesday to speak about public power in Florida and to present the utility with its Florida Public Power Reliability Award. The utility invited its entire crew of linemen to receive the award. To arrange a similar presentation in your community, contact Emily Maag.
ARP Rate Workshop

SCADA and System Control Roundtable

October PMLC Meeting
FMPA is proud to host former FERC Chairman Mark C. Christie via teleconference at the upcoming Policy Makers Liaisons Committee meeting next Wednesday. Aside from his service as a FERC commissioner and chair, he previously served as chairman of the Virginia State Corporation Commission and president of the Organization of PJM States, Inc.
