Board of Directors Meeting
The Board of Directors met last Wednesday. The Board reelected Barbara Quiñones (Homestead) as Chair, Lynne Tejeda (Keys Energy Services) as Vice Chair, Bob Page (Green Cove Springs) as Secretary, and Allen Putnam (Beaches Energy Services) as Treasurer. It also heard information items about FMPA’s social media strategy and analytics and updates about the Florida Municipal Solar Project, FMPA’s human resources, and FMPA’s Member Services. Executive Committee Meeting
The Executive Committee met last Wednesday. The Committee reelected Howard McKinnon (Havana) as Chair, Lynne Tejeda (Keys Energy Services) as Vice Chair, Bob Page (Green Cove Springs) as Secretary, and Allen Putnam (Beaches Energy Services) as Treasurer. It also heard information items about FMPA’s fleet performance, excess power sales, and the gas pre-pay policy repricing periods. The agenda package is available via the Portal. Policy Makers Liaisons Committee Meeting
The Policy Makers Liaisons Committee met last Thursday. The Committee reelected Bob Page (Green Cove Springs) as Chair and Jim Hilty, Sr., (Ocala) as Vice Chair, and it approved the 2024-25 meeting schedule. General Fund Transfer Survey
Members can expect to receive an email from Mary Kathryn Patterson with a link to complete the Grand Fund Transfer Survey today. We use this survey to assess Agency members’ utility fund transfers and demonstrate the value that municipal electric utilities and these transfers provide. Please complete by Aug. 30. Regional Foreman Roundtable – Wauchula
Registration closes tomorrow for the regional foreman roundtable in Wauchula on August 6. The roundtables allow foremen and crew leaders to meet with other member utilities to discuss common issues and best practices. Contact: Lindsay Jack
