Carl Turner
FMPA is deeply saddened to share the news of Carl Turner’s passing on August 24. Carl worked at FMPA for more than 10 years and still worked closely with the Agency. A GoFundMe is set up to support his wife and two young daughters after their sudden and unexpected loss. Our thoughts are with his loved ones.
Rice Creek Update
The Rice Creek solar facility began producing test energy last Wednesday. The power will increase daily as inverters are brought online. Commercial operations are estimated to begin October 1.
General Fund Transfer Survey Deadline Extended
The deadline to complete the General Fund Transfer Survey has been extended to next Monday. The annual survey assesses Agency members’ utility fund transfers and demonstrates the value that municipal electric utilities and these transfers provide. Contact: Mary Kathryn Patterson
Reliability Roundtable
FMPA will host a Reliability Roundtable tomorrow at 10 a.m. The forum allows participants to discuss reliability topics and best practices. Contact: Lindsay Jack
Intro to Staking/Line Design Training
Registration will close Thursday for the Intro to Staking/Line Design training scheduled for Monday at 8:30 a.m. at FMPA. The training explores the 2023 National Electrical Safety Code. Contact: Lindsay Jack
Lineman Roundtable
Registration will close Thursday for the Lineman Roundtable scheduled for next Tuesday at 10 a.m. at FMPA. The forum allows line crews to discuss best practices, common issues, safety, and other relevant topics. Contact: Lindsay Jack
