FMPA’s power-generation fleet had a successful year in fiscal 2020. The baseload generation fleet was available 92% of the time or more than 337 days. FMPA’s fleet surpassed its equivalent availability factor (EAF) goal by 4% and the nationwide EAF average by 7%. This was the 10th consecutive year that the units outperformed industry averages. Stock Island Generating Facility also successfully and reliably operated during the last fiscal year. One of FMPA’s fiscal 2020 management goals was to increase reliability support to Stock Island Generating Facility and to ensure the plant is responsive within 45 minutes of a black start requirement. On thirteen occasions, Stock Island Generating Facility successfully and reliably operated and provided continuous electric service to the Keys Energy Services (KEYS) customers.
