Newberry AMI Day
Newberry recently held a free, educational community event to introduce a new Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system coming soon to the utility. The AMI Day event addressed customer questions and topics and provided interactive demonstrations of AMI technology.

ARP Rate Workshop
The All-Requirements Project held a workshop last Tuesday to review loads, costs and rates for March. Energy sales to participants were 0.6% above budget, bringing the year-to-date total to 1% below budget. The average billed demand and energy cost was $84.83 per megawatt hour, due to natural gas prices that on average were 58% above budget. With the cost of natural gas forecast to remain above $6 per MMBtu through December, the average monthly billed cost to participants could reach $100 per megawatt hour. Lineworker Safety Program Steering Committee
The Steering Committee for the TVPPA-FMPA Lineworker Safety Program meets Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in FMPA’s Orlando office to discuss the program and provide feedback for enhancing its effectiveness. A teleconference option will be available for those not able to attend in person. Contact: Mike McCleary

Policy Makers Liaisons Committee
FMPA’s Policy Makers Liaisons Committee meets Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Board Room. Leading climate and environmental activist Michael Shellenberger will discuss the intersection of climate, energy and politics. FMPA’s Board of Directors, Executive Committee and member utility staff are encouraged to join the virtual presentation via Microsoft Teams. Finance Committee
FMPA’s Finance Committee meets on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office. The committee will hear two information items, including proposed new employee benefits and the proposed fiscal 2023 Agency budget. The full agenda package is available on the Portal. Contact: Linda Howard

Board of Directors
FMPA’s Board of Directors meets Thursday at 9 a.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office. The Board will consider the approval of revised guidelines for chargeable member service projects and hear five information items. The full agenda package is available on the Portal. Contact: Jacob Williams

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee meets Thursday at 9:15 a.m., or immediately following the Board of Directors meeting. The committee will consider two action items, including: 1) approval of a new fuel strategy for Stock Island Generating Facility, and 2) approval of a spending authority request for the discharge event at Stock Island. FMPA Member Relations Survey
The deadline to complete FMPA’s 2022 Member Relations Survey has been extended until close of business on Friday. The survey gives FMPA an opportunity to get valuable feedback to ensure the Agency and its services are meeting members’ needs and strategic priorities. As of last Friday, only half of FMPA’s members have responded. The goal is to obtain feedback from at least one representative at each of the 31 member cities. Contact: Rachel Ilardi

Purchasing Roundtable
The deadline to register for FMPA’s Purchasing Roundtable is May 2. The roundtable is scheduled for May 12 at 10 a.m. at FMPA’s Orlando office and provides a forum for members to discuss purchasing work procedures, policies and practices, industry changes, and more. Contact: Sharon Samuels

Distribution Reliability Roundtable
FMPA will host a Distribution Reliability Roundtable on June 29 at FMPA’s Orlando office. The roundtable provides a forum for participants in the FMPA Distribution Reliability Program to discuss distribution reliability-related topics and best practices.
