Finance Committee
FMPA’s Finance Committee met last Thursday and approved four action items, including: 1) Fuel Portfolio Management Risk Policy and recommended to the Executive Committee for final approval, 2) fiscal 2023 Agency allocation and recommended to the Board of Directors for final approval, 3) fiscal 2023 budgets for the Stanton, Tri-City, Stanton II, St. Lucie, Solar, Solar II and Pooled Loan projects and recommended to the Board of Directors for final approval, and 4) fiscal 2023 All-Requirements Project budget and recommended to the Executive Committee for final approval. Florida Public Power Breakfast at APPA National Conference
FMPA hosts a breakfast on Tuesday at 7:15 a.m. for Florida public power attendees at the American Public Power Association’s (APPA) National Conference. The breakfast will be held in Hermitage E, located on the Magnolia Mezzanine of the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. Contact: Ryan Dumas

Special-Called Executive Committee Meeting
The ARP Executive Committee meets on Tuesday at 2 p.m. via conference call for a special-called meeting. The committee will consider options for the All-Requirements Project to enter a collective fixed-price natural gas strategy and review project loads, costs and rates for May. Electrical Metering Program Lab
Registration is open for the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association’s (TVPPA) Electrical Metering Program Lab. The five-day, hands-on lab will take place on Aug. 8–12 at FMPA’s Orlando office and provide training on instrument transformers, meter connections, meter constants, meter testing, meter reading and more. The lab can be taken as part of the Electrical Metering Certification Program. Participants are encouraged to register by July 29. Contact: Sharon Samuels

Foreman Academy Certification Series
Participants can now register for the second track of the three-part Foreman Academy Certification series, scheduled for Aug. 22-25. First time attendees who have not completed the first track are also invited to register for the training. The Foreman Academy Certification provides crew leaders and general foremen with the knowledge and tools to lead crews efficiently, responsibly and safely. The deadline to register is August 10. Post-Storm Services Bid
FMPA is issuing a joint bid for post-storm services, with a focus on safety assessments and support for major storm restoration activities. The selected vendor(s) will provide qualified crews of foremen and experienced personnel with vehicles mobilized to participating member cities to assist with safety assessments, damage assessments, resource support and post-storm recovery efforts. Members interested in participating in the bid should contact Sharon Samuels by Friday.
