December All-Requirements Project Rates
The average billed demand and energy cost for FMPA’s All-Requirements Project in December was $82.05/MWh, which was 1 percent above the budgeted cost. Participant energy sales were 3.2 percent below budget. The FY25 forward curve was up 6 percent from the prior month, resulting in $6.2M margin returned in December. PMLC Meeting
The Policy Makers Liaisons Committee met last Wednesday. It heard three information items, including an overview of the ARP natural gas price stability program, a federal legislative update from Michael Nolan, and a guest presentation about the energy and environment expectations with the new administration from guest presenter Travis Fisher, director of energy and environmental policy studies at the Cato Institute. MSAC Meeting
The Member Services Advisory Committee met last Wednesday and approved the reliability awards program. It also heard information items, including updates about Member Services goals, the engineering services RFQ, the leased employee program, and training and roundtable opportunities. Finance Committee Meeting
The Finance Committee met last Wednesday and approved the new rate protection account and the audition financial statements. Board of Directors Meeting
The Board of Directors met last Thursday and approved the audited financial statements. It heard two information items, which were an update about the Florida Municipal Solar Project (FMSP) and a review of OUC’s project billings for A&G allocation. Executive Committee Meeting
The Executive Committee met last Thursday and approved three action items, which were the new rate protection account, Resolution 2025-EC1 Energy Southeast Prepay 2025 Series, and the audited financial statements. It also heard information items, such as an update on balancing authority analysis, a discussion of the Bartow Energy Center Spare Turbines, a review of OUC’s project billings for A&G allocation, and an update about the FMSP. Interpersonal Supervisory Skills I Training
FMPA will host an Interpersonal Supervisory Skills I training Wednesday. The TVPPA course is part of the curriculum for the Certified Power Supervisor designation but may also be taken as a standalone course. Contact: Lindsay Jack
